To The Preachers: put your money where your mouth is

To The Preachers: ‘just put your money where your mouth is’

Don’t be charmed by the preachers’ slogans and sound bites.  Bo Sanchez’ “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, …”, and El Shaddai’s “siksik, liglig, nag-uumapaw”, and JIL’s “praise the lord, halleluiah”, all these mean nothing to the LORD, absolutely nonsense.  These are pretensions and lies.  “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.” (.MATTHEW.15:8.).  Even if they sing these for the rest of their life, that won’t get them an inch closer to GOD.  They can please the FATHER only if: “they sell their possessions and give the money to the poor.” (.MATTHEW.19:21.).  HYPOCRITES are those who can’t put their money where their mouth is.  “Woe to you who are rich for you have already received your comfort.” (.LUKE.6:24.)

One of the true Disciples of the LORD is Mother Teresa (of Calcutta, India).  In 1964, Pope Paul VI gave his ceremonial limousine to her, which she immediately raffled to help finance her leper colony.  From 1946 to her death in 1997, a period of more than fifty years, Mother Teresa lived in the slums of India and devoted herself to caring for the sick and poor.  So how do you compare today’s preachers, or specifically your pastor, to Mother Teresa?  “Pasayaw-sayaw lang sila ng “liglig, kilig-kilig”, o pakanta-kanta ng “Thy word is the light. . What could have happened to that limousine if Pope Paul VI instead gave it to a wealth-obsessed false prophet like Micky Velardo?  Truly God says, “it is more blessed to give than to receive.” (.ACTS.20:28.)

“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?  As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like.  They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock.  When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.  But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation.  The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.” (.LUKE.6:46.)
