The Holy Bible Is Not As Holy As You Think

2017, February 23

The HOLY BIBLE is not as “HOLY” as you think

What was the role of Jesus Christ in making the Bible?

Nothing.  Absolutely nothing.  Jesus did not come to make the Bible – it was far from His intentions.  If He wished for it, He could have easily created it.  Just like the many miracles that He did, making the Bible should have been just a piece of cake.

  • when He turned water into wine during a marriage banquet (.JOHN.2:7.), Jesus could have easily filled one of the water jars with copies of the bible, and give them to the newlyweds and guests;
  • when He multiplied pieces of bread and fish to feed five thousand people ,
    (.MATTHEW.14:19.) , He should have turned one of the fishes into copies of the Bible and distribute them as well;
  • when He appeared before the Apostles (after the Resurrection) and asked Thomas to touch His wounds  (.JOHN.20:27.),  He could have easily told Thomas: “inside my belly are twelve copies of the Bible, take them all and have each one of you a copy.”

Indeed, the Bible was never a concern for Jesus.  His mission was to expand on the substance of the Will of the FATHER, i.e., theTen Commandments.  His dying on the Cross is the exclamation point of everything He meant:  total submission to the FATHER – this He wants us to do.  The core of everything is the Ten Commandments:  Jesus’ teachings are merely “foot notes” to it.

( NOTE : when I mention Bible, most of the time I’m referring to the New Testament part of the Bible. )

Even before He ascended to Heaven, Jesus never instructed the Apostles, or even insinuated, to make the Bible.  His last words to them were: “ the Holy Spirit will come to you and give you power, and you will be my witnesses to all the nations.” (.ACTS.1:8.).  If Jesus so desires, he should have asked the Holy Spirit to also bring copies of the Bible to the Apostles on the Pentecost.

Jesus and the Apostles have nothing to do with the Bible.  And if the Apostles are to come back to life today, surely they’ll be shocked to find that they have authored the world’s best-selling book of all times, though some of them can barely read and write.  None of them is a “writer” (Apostle Peter is illiterate – no read, no write).

So who did the Bible?

The bible was a collection of writings from mostly unknown people who most possibly were disciples of the Apostles who used the names of their mentors Matthew, John, Mark, and so on as pseudonyms.  Thus in the Book of Matthew, not a single word or comma was written by Apostle Matthew himself but everything by his disciples.  Though the books of Mark and Luke were mostly written by them, some however came from their disciples and others as well.

How did the Bible begin?

The launch of the mission given to the Apostles to be “fishers of men” saw the genesis of the Bible.  Some of the Apostles’ disciples, in their excitement and zeal, on their own accord, have resolved to share their new found “wisdom” and spread the burgeoning Christian movement.  To elude the persistently suspicious eyes of the Roman soldiers, they resorted to secretly sending “leaflets” to their prospective recruits (compare this with the various recruitment techniques employed by the CPP-NPA during the brutal Martial Law years of Pres. Marcos).  Consequently, these leaflets became the materials where the present Bible was derived.

Those leaflets, numbering a few thousands, were collected, compiled, “canonized”, translated, and articulated, and undergone other processing.  With so many people touching these supposedly delicate materials, each with his own idea of how the Bible should shape and serve its purpose, we now have the present Bible:  a “pinakbet”  of truths, half-truths, and pure lies.  It’s a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth.

The Bible is basically a Christian propaganda material to entice others to join.  And like any other propaganda, “innately” it contains some half-truths and lies, sometimes going to lengths as to “promise the moon and stars”, like that notion of rapture.

Jesus doesn’t suggest that you read the bible.  But if you do, don’t be absorbed by it.  Read it as if you are reading the advertisements in your Sunday newspaper – don’t believe all that they say.  Most of them are true, but some are half-truths and lies.

As I said, always be a doubting Thomas.

The Bible is of “divine inspirations”?

The notion that the makers of the Bible were divinely inspired from start to finish is pure fantasy.  Because of our free will, even the greatest men of GOD are not immune from the “not so divine” inspirations.  As it was,

  • it is not divine inspiration that let Aaron, the brother of Moses, to lead and direct the casting of the golden calf (.EXODUS.32:2.);
  • it is not divine inspiration that let Samson to reveal the secret of his extraordinary strength to Delilah , (.JUDGES.16:17.) ;
  • it is not divine inspiration that let King David to conduct the census of his army, in total disregard of GOD’s law  (.2.SAMUEL.24:13.).

The passive stance of Pope Pius XII towards the war in World War II was a serious misjudgment, an apparent snub of divine guidance.  Jaime Cardinal Sin should have been there – he is so dear to the LORD as “he calls a spade a spade”, the same way Jesus shouted “woe to you Pharisees, you hypocrites!” (.MATTHEW.23:15.).  With the many horrific wars around the world today, can Pope Francis shout against those who reap fortunes from these wars, against the military-industrial complex of the West?  Does Pope Francis belong to the tribe of Cardinal Sin?  How about Cardinal Tagle?

And is the ‘baligtad na payong’ of El Shaddai a divine inspiration?  How about its ‘siksik, liglig, nag-uumapaw’ jingle?  And to illustrate my point about the Bible, below are some of these not so divine inspirations that have sneaked into the Bible:

  • “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” (.EPHESIANS.2:8.) : this impresses that we are so very extraordinary special to the LORD that no matter what our past was and whatever we do, we are already saved.  Indeed, the  ‘caveat’  to this is missing:  not everyone is qualified to receive this grace but only those who have repented and humbled themselves adequately.  Indeed it prerequisites that you do your homework first;
  • “If anyone slaps you on one cheek, turn the other cheek also.” (– MATTHEW 5:39 -).  This verse is flatly stupid.  One slap is enough, get away from trouble at once for you don’t know what will happen next: you can get killed.  The mission of Jesus Christ has been done, you are not to redo it.  That is not your mission in this world.  Your life and body are gifts from GOD that you have to protect and treasure at all cost.  Don’t allow the devil have dominion over you.  But,  ‘do not repay evil with evil, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is Mine to avenge”‘. (.ROMANS.12:17.);
  • “Jesus let the impure spirits get out of the possessed man and transfer to the two thousand pigs.” (.MARK.5:13.)  the 2,000-pig figure is greatly exaggerated.  The total number was just about twenty.  The pig-owner, if he really lost those 2,000 pigs, should have nailed Jesus to the Cross right there and there.  Jesus should not have been allowed to walk away and escape.

Pure Lies:

  • ‘I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.  Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.’ (.LUKE.17:34.) :  absolutely untrue (the rapture), a total fabrication, a complete fantasy.  When the Tribulation comes, it will be for all, whether great or small, king or slave.   No one can escape it.  You and I are not indispensable.  For those who believe in the rapture, who believe they are among those who will be “taken to the clouds in the twinkling of an eye”, you should first look at the mirror and examine yourselves, before the LORD lambast you, “who do you think you are?”‘Do not be arrogant, but tremble.  For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.’ (.ROMANS.11:20.).;
  • “Pilate took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd saying, ‘I am innocent of this man’s (Jesus) blood, it is your responsibility.’” (.MATTHEW.27:24.) : this is a fabricated story, it never happened.  Pilate’s brutality and disdain for the Jews were widely known, as he had already crucified hundreds of them, and Jesus was just another deplorable Jew, another waste of time.  The decision to crucify Him did not take Pilate five minutes.  And for proud and imposing Pilate to ‘wash his hands’ before those horrible Jews is absolutely not his nature – he can never level down.  This scene is just a dramatic enhancement – just one for the movies;, ;
  • “(on the Cross) Jesus told one of the criminals, ‘Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.’” (.LUKE.23:40.) – this is another fabricated story, it never happened.  For those three on the Cross, talking was next to impossible as they have been reduced to vegetables already.  Under so much torment, and held immobile by the Cross, plus that terrifying thought that they will be dead in two hours, those three can only whimper in pain  (except Jesus who has longer ”battery life” due to his God-nature).  This scene impresses as if nothing horrible is happening, that everything is going well.  It is as if those three are seated comfortably on a table, having a relaxing conversation over a bottle of beer and crispy pata, and a bowl of sisig.  This scene is just another dramatic enhancement..

The Bible facilitated the rise of False Prophets

Jesus knew all along the dangers that a book like the Bible will bring: the real possibility that it be used by the wolves as some form of diploma or license to prove themselves.  Most people don’t discern anymore.  Just hold the Bible, recite a few verses and presto you are legitimate.  The Bible has become the sole credential of preachers, and sadly almost all of them are wolves.  Even governors and presidents swear by the Bible, then they steal the people’s money.  As Apostle Paul have warned us:

After I leave, savage wolves will arise from among you and will not spare the flock.  They will distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. (.ACTS.20:29.)

This has now come to fruition as we see the rise of false teachers everywhere.  The Bible was the main tool of Jim Jones and David Koresh to deceive their flocks.  Today it is still the main tool of wolves to preach and spread lies, and amass wealth.  By simply holding the Bible, the wolves have been authenticated.  The Bible has become their official certification.

Just then, Micky Velardo came up to JESUS and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?”

Jesus replied, “If you want to enter life, keep the Commandments.”

“Which ones?” Velardo inquired.

Jesus replied, “You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.”

“All these I have kept,” Velardo said.  “What do I still lack?”

Jesus answered,  “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasures in heaven.  Then come, follow me.”

When Velardo heard this, he went away sad, because he has great wealth.

Then Jesus said to his disciples,  “Truly I tell you, it is hard for Micky Velardo who is rich to enter Heaven.  It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for Velardo to enter the kingdom of God.”

The reason why Jesus emphasized the importance of discernment.  As you listen to the preachers, be circumspect and measure them according to the rules of conduct that the Apostles followed strictly:

“Only the man who says goodbye to his possessions can be MY disciple.” (.LUKE.14:33.)

“Freely you have received; freely give.   Do not get any gold or silver to take with you in your belts – no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep. “ (.MATTHEW.10:8.)

The truly anointed by the LORD, the Apostles, never asked tithe from anyone, and have despised riches.  All of them died poor.  Those preachers who wish anointment from the LORD should first emulate the Apostles.  If they cannot ‘practice what the Apostles preach’, and still continue such vocation, their anointment is not from GOD but Satan.  Discern your pastor carefully: if he exacts tithes, then most possibly he is not of GOD but Satan.  He is an impostor, a phony.

Mike Velarde preaches the words of the Apostles, but is he living like the Apostles?  Is Mike Velarde anointed by GOD, or by Satan?  Bo Sanchez preaches the words of the Apostles, but does he observe the conduct of the Apostles?  Is Bo Sanchez anointed by GOD, or by Satan?  What about Apollo Quibuloy, Eli Soriano, EV Manalo?  Are they true disciples of GOD, or simply impostors and charlatans who take advantage of the credulity, or stupidity, of their flocks?

While holding the Bible, wolves raise their arms to heaven, singing and praising,  ”Jesus, Jesus, in your name, blah, blah, blah, . . ”, sometimes with broken voice and tears running down their cheeks – don’t be deceived, this is just for show.   It’s the camouflage for their prime motives: money, money, and more money.  Indeed, they are the “whitewashed tombs that are clean outside but rotten inside,” (.MATTHEW.23:27.).

Those who keep the Bible in their hearts and are silent, the LORD sees them.  But be wary of those who raise the Bible in the middle of the crowd singing, ”Thy word is the light inside my vaults, . . .”  That’s the red flag.  Watch out, tightly hold your wallets, anything can happen.

Don’t be a victim of these sweet talking wolves:  you will lose your money, and your soul too.

What if there is no Bible?

If there is no Bible, then people will be more discerning of preachers, the true Disciples of Jesus Christ will surely shine, and most false prophets will be exposed.  There was no Bible during the times of the Apostles, yet Christianity grew and spread naturally.  The early Christians believed the Apostles not just because they witnessed them performed various miracles, but most importantly because they saw the Apostles practiced what they preached.  The Apostles sincerely “walked the talk”.

“The believers devoted themselves to the Apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.  Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the Apostles.  They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.”  (.ACTS.2:42.)

The Apostles performed miracles, but the wolves do antics and singing; the Apostles raised the dead, but today’s preachers raise the Bible and sing “Thy word is a lamp . . .”, or they raise passports and wallets as they dance the “siksik, liglig, kilig”. .   Indeed, without the Bible, it will be difficult for the false teachers to prosper, the reason why they are all adamant in instilling that the Bible is the “embodiment of the Truth, clearly implying that because they speak of the Bible, then essentially that makes them the “personification” of the Truth.  We now have many personifications or faces of the Truth: Eli Soriano is the face of the Truth; EV Manalo is also the face of the Truth; Apollo Quibuloy is another face of the Truth.  And all of these faces differ from each other, and they throw stones at each other.  All these Truths come with a tag price: ten percent a month, mostly.  Ask these preachers, “when did GOD declare that the Truth must have an SRP (suggested retail price)?”.  What do they do with the profits from the “sales of the Truth?  Indeed, the Bible has successfully camouflaged their falsehoods.

“Freely you have received; freely give.   Do not get any gold or silver to take with you in your belts – no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep. “ (.MATTHEW.10:8.)

Without the Bible, then most possibly we’ll not have these Mike Velarde, Bo Sanchez, etc…   These people never performed a single miracle, never shown anything “divine”, but why do they thrive?  Obviously because of their splendor and eloquence of the Bible.  Without the Bible, their flocks most possibly will demand that they show some “proofs” of their authenticity like healing or prophesy, or that they practice what they preach, which of course they are incapable of.  The only thing they are most capable of is to talk, and more talks . . . but what about their walk?  Have they ever sold any possession to give to the poor?  Or maybe they are buying the possessions of the poor.  The Bible serves as the “wind beneath their wings” – without it, they are nothing.  “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.” (.MATTHEW.15:8.).

The false prophets speak the words of the Apostles, yet they don’t practice it.  They appear to be icons of piety, enabling them to exact tithes and keep the tithes to themselves, sharing almost nothing with the LORD.  Practically, they always have their cake and eat it too.  The wolves are the antithesis of the Apostles: all the Apostles died poor, but the wolves will die worrying about their wealth.

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be.  No one can serve two masters.  Either you will hate one and love the other, or you will be devoted to one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and money.
