What is the True Religion?

What is the True Religion?

RELIGION that the FATHER accepts as pure and faultless is this:  to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” (.JAMES.1:23.)

“What you do to the least of your brothers and sisters, you do unto ME.” (.MATTHEW.25:40.)

Religion can be likened to a school or college: they both promise HOPE.  The school gives education and training, promising the students they’ll pass the government’s test (or licensure).  Similarly, the religion “indoctrinates” the faithful promising them they’ll pass the Judgment Day.  Schools are rated as good or bad depending on the number of passers they produce.  Usually, bad schools are labeled as “diploma mills” as they churn out many graduates who, after spending a good deal of time and money, then fail the government test.

Like schools, there are diploma mills among religions, where the flock regularly pays tithes, and more and more tithes, and still end up in hell.  This happens when the head priest is fixated on collecting tithes and getting rich.  So how do you pin down these wolves in sheep’s clothing?  They must be measured by the Apostles’ rule of conduct:

“Only the man who says goodbye to all his possessions can be MY disciple.” (.LUKE.14:33.)

“Freely you have received; freely give.  Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts – no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff. “ (.MATTHEW.10:8.)

These were followed faithfully by the Apostles, the reason why not one of them became rich.  Yes, all of them died poor, because “they did not ask tithes from their flocks”.  Unlike today’s wealth-obsessed wolves who always invent new ways to squeeze more tithes from the flock.  “They are the dogs with mighty appetites, who will never say enough.” (.ISAIAH.56:11.)

So who among today’s prominent teachers are the true disciples of God:  Apollo Quibuloy, Eduardo V. Manalo (INC), Mike Velarde (El Shaddai), Bo Sanchez, Eddie Villanueva, or Eli Soriano, etc…?  And who among them has vaults of gold, and still craving for more gold?  Again, as I said be a doubting Thomas.
